Hi Reggie, no, I never talked to them about it, and unfortunately I won’t get that chance since my dad passed and my mom has Alzheimer’s. I learned about the 1898 violence from a book called Cape Fear Rising. Have you read it? I thought it was excellent. But yeah, it mentions some familiar names. There was a MacRae kid there when I was, a couple of years ahead of me I think. Of course, Hugh MacRae Park is named after one of the instigators of the 1898 uprising. I understand there’s been talk of changing its name.
